Tyre pressure planner
It will never tell you that your pressure is one particular number. Doing that would invent authority we do not have, on a safety-relevant subject, under our own name.

What the planner gives you
Safety
Read this before you start
This is a starting point, not a specification. Correct pressure depends on your vehicle's actual laden mass on each axle, your specific tyres, the surface and your speed. It does not replace your vehicle and tyre manufacturer's specifications. Reduce speed whenever you reduce pressure, and reinflate before returning to tar.

Screen 1
Your baseline
Everything below is worked out from your own numbers. There is no South African pressure table to look you up in, so your placard pressure is the anchor.
Step 1 — Your normal cold road pressure
From the placard in your door frame or fuel flap, or what you actually run. This is the anchor for everything that follows.
Step 2 — How loaded is the vehicle?
Load changes the answer more than any other factor.
Step 3 — Tyre construction
A reinforced or light-truck sidewall carries load differently to a standard passenger casing, and it takes deflation differently too.
Step 4 — Have you weighed the vehicle loaded?
Real axle mass is the only thing that turns pressure from an opinion into arithmetic.
Answer all four so the plan is worked out from your vehicle.
Screen 2
Where are you going?
Fill in your baseline above first. The surface only changes what we do with your own numbers.
Screen 3
Your plan
Choose a surface and your plan appears here: a starting point, the floor, the speed condition and the method.

Places to go next
Nothing here is part of your plan. It is simply where people go next.
